We bought this to make stage drinks. The color is just right for whiskys and colas. Doesn't add a taste and takes so little food coloring it doesn't stain the actors teeth. We love it, and it lasts for ever!

Rarely use food coloring, but chose this for its caramel color when making home made coke or root beer. Does the job well for coloring. However, ingredients are listed as "burnt sugar"...when I placed a drop on my finger, yup, strong burnt sugar taste. Hmmm...maybe that's why my sodas have a funky taste after using this product. Or I may be adding too much. Then again, it may be the flavoring itself at fault...i.e. cola, root beer. Time to experiment more. I'll try without coloring next time and see how it tastes (and also use less) and update later. But nothing wrong with drinking clear color soda either, even when expecting a caramel color ;)
