i have put more than a few gingerbread houses together with my kids and this was buy far the worst experience i have EVER had with one. do not waste your money on this pile of garbage. they use the Barbie name to draw you in and then nothing fits together, the directions are horrible and the house itself it tiny. from now on i will stick with a no name brand gingerbread house. my wife just left to buy a REAL GB house and i have just finished throwing this piece of garbage where it belongs....in the trash.one good thing....the kids were are eating it, so its tasty.

I picked this up last minute at a grocery store. The pieces DO NOT fit together!! Despite multiple attempts the house kept collapsing. It tasted pretty good though...

This was a waste of money. The icing was rock hard and the gingerbread pieces did not even fit together properly. I was able to salvage the experience by making my own royal icing so it turned out well despite of the garbage the kit came with. Next year I will buy a generic kit for half the price or just make my own gingerbread. If you buy this kit, make your own icing with 4 cups powdered sugar, 3 egg whites and 1/2 tsp of cream of tarter and beat it until it is light and fluffy. Then take out half the icing and use red food coloring to make the rest pink.
